The promoter is HiTrans (The Highlands and Islands Transport Partnership) whose registered office is at 2nd Floor/Rear, 7 Ardross Terrace, Inverness IV3 5NX. HiTrans is the delivery partner and accountable organisation for Scottish Islands Passport.
The competition is only open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over except employees of HiTrans, their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.
There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
By entering this competition, an entrant is giving their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
The terms set out in this document combined with the rules in the associated social media notice form the full terms and conditions for this competition.
Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
Where photographs are submitted as part of the entry, entrants confirm that they are the rightful owners of the submitted photographs and that they grant Scottish Islands Passport (HiTrans) full permission to use the photographs across all mediums for an unlimited time.
No fees will be paid for submitted photos, but photographers will be credited if image are used.
Entrants confirm that any identifiable persons in submitted photographs have given permission for the photographs to be published publicly. HiTrans accepts no responsibility if entrants have not properly obtained permission.
No photographs containing persons under the age of 18, or vulnerable adults may be submitted. Entrants confirm that any photographs submitted do not contain people in these groups. HiTrans accepts no responsibility if entrants have not adhered to this.
Closing date for entry will be as specified on the associated social media post. After this date the no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
The rules of the competition will be explained further in the associated social media post. Those rules must be read and adhered to in conjunction with these terms.
To qualify, all entrants must be following Scottish Islands passport on at least one of the following: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter.
Entrants must ‘like’ the social media post relating to the competition.
Entrants must state their full name on submissions.
The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in any event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
The prize is as follows: 1 x Meet The Maker travelogue, 1 x Island Life 2023 calendar, 1 x Love Islands mug, 1 x Love Islands bag, 1 x Scottish Islands Passport notebook, 1 x Scottish Islands Passport pen.
The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
Winners will be chosen by the Scottish Islands Passport team after the stated closing date. All entries will be checked against the terms of this competition and any entries that do not meet the terms and requirements laid out here will be disqualified.
The winner will be selected at random from the qualifying entries.
The winner will be notified by email. The winner will only ever be contacted by Scottish Islands Passport. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
Prizes will only be posted to UK addresses by second class mail.
Entrants who have not won will not be contacted.
The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by Scottish law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.
The winner agrees to the use of their name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
